Invest in Kids, Invest in Kansas

Kansas lawmakers have a responsibility to maintain the state’s current levels of investment for children, despite the tight budget, Kansas Action for Children asserts in a new report entitled Invest in Kids, Invest in Kansas: Maintaining Our Commitment to Children, states that this means lawmakers should maintain existing levels of spending for children’s programs and services, and do so without using the Children’s Initiatives Fund (CIF) or the Kansas Endowment for Youth (KEY) to replace state general funds. *View "Invest in Kids, Invest in Kansas" online:
